Di spirito antifascista, di fede comunista/socialista/anarchista, buona parte degli artigiani dell’alabastro hanno rappresentato e rappresentano lo stile di vita semplice e libertario dei toscani che godono della grandezza della loro terra e dei suoi prodotti. Cacciatori, tartufai, ortocultori, fungaioli, per lo più rispettosi verso quella terra che ha regalato loro la pietra alabastrina, la materia prima della loro lavorazione.
